Doherty Gets On The Decks

Pete Doherty is set to surprise fans with a DJ set at this year's Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem.

He will headline the 'Teenage Kicks' arena with a heap of other indie stars including Preston from Ordinary Boys, Franz Ferdinand, Futureheads, Belle And Sebastian and DJs Shit Disco.

The bash takes place on May 27 at Lotherton Hall in Leeds and will feature loads of of cool DJs too. Judge Jules, Mr Scruff and Fabio & Grooverider are just some of the famous names.

The MD of the Gatecrasher, Simon Raine, said, "There is something quite anarchic about members of the coolest UK bands becoming DJs, you never know what musical style or sound may come up with.

With Pete spinning the tunes that could well be the understatement of the festival season.
