Pete Plays Wembley

MTV News were in the building as Babyshambles played the biggest gig of their career

Pete Doherty turned up to his Wembley Arena gig last night and was on top form.

Unlike the Babyshambles of old the group made it to the stage on time and played a strong set over an hour long.

However the large venue was only half full for the show as they ran through much of latest album Shotters Nation and classics like Kilamangiro.

Sadly for the tabloids Pete had a quiet night away from the music, briefly mumbling something about QPR and thanking the support acts- Dizzee Rascal and Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong.

During set closer F**k Forever the band stopped as Doherty sang Happy Birthday to his sister Emily who is 21 today. What a sweet guy, well sort of!
