Pete Solo Album?

Pete Doherty is to release a solo album, according to reports.

The troubled star, who recently had a meeting with ex- Libertines bandmate Carl Barat in the pub, has sparked rumours of a split with his current band Babyshambles after announcing plans to release a solo album.

Following his appearance on Jonathan Ross where he performed an acoustic version of new Babyshambles track 'Beg, Steal & Borrow' unaccompanied by his bandmates, Pete told the NME, Therell be a solo acoustic album released this year.

Pete also talks of moving away from London, where Babyshambles are based, in a bid for a more solitary lifestyle, Ive just been talking about getting a cottagea little pond and my guitar.

Meanwhile, Babyshambles have been forced to pull of out their scheduled Ibiza Rocks gig tomorrow so Pete can receive treatment after ruining the effects of his stint in a Portuguese rehabilitation centre with, as he describes in the interview, a nasty, dirty, old, hit of heroin.
