Pete Tong Relocates To LA
Radio 1 DJ heads off to “uncharted” dance territory…
As the growth of dance music in the US continues to boom, BBC Radio 1 dance lord Pete Tong has announced he’ll be relocating from the UK to Los Angeles.
Tong will continue to host his weekly Radio 1 show plus the Essential Mix, recording some of the shows in LA and the remainder from London.
Speaking of the move Tong says: “I’m looking forward to being based in Los Angeles. The electronic dance music scene in the USA has reached a critical mass and the opportunities for our world are taking us into uncharted territory. I feel now it’s essential to be in the middle of all that.
