Hats Off To Pharrell Williams' Giant Grammys Hat

The 'Happy' singer looked thrilled with his headgear...

Hats off to Pharrell Williams, who stole the show last night at the Grammy Awards. Or, more accurately, his headgear did.

The formerN.E.R.D frontman turned up to the LA ceremony wearing a red leather sports jacket and a rather unusual giant brown hat.

The hat, it turns out, was a vintage-inspired piece by British designer Vivienne Westwood, but that didn’t stop hundreds of thousands of Twitter users poking fun at the headgear, which now has its own dedicated Twitter account.

The Happy singer didn’t seem to mind the jokes though. After accompanying Daft Punk on stage and winning an award for Best Producer, Pharrell took to the social networking site to retweet a few memes of his newly-famous accessory – including one of him replacing Woody in Toy Story – and respond to commentators.

“Y'all tryna start a roast beef?” he jokingly replied to American fast-food chain Arby’s, who tweeted: “@Pharrell, can we have our hat back?” Arby’s logo is a doodle of a giant cowboy hat.

Alongside the jokers, there were also a few well-known names who just wanted to wish the Oscar-nominated singer congratulations for his Grammy win.

“Congrats big bro @Pharrell,” Miley Cyrus tweeted from home, having skipped the ceremony to play video gmes.

And Gwen Stefani tweeted: “Omg .@Pharrell producer of the year! Ya! Gx”
