Philip Seymour Hoffman has been laid to rest in New York City.
The actor, who died last weekend in his apartment in the Big Apple, was mourned by family and friends at the Church of St Ignatius Loyola on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
The late actor's estranged wife Mimi O'Donnell and their three young children were joined by numerous famous friends of Hoffman, including Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, and Spike Lee.
Cate Blanchett, Ethan Hawke, Ellen Burstyn, Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Joaquin Phoenix and Chris Rock were also in attendance.
The media were out in force, but were restrained at a respectful distance by the NYPD.
An autopsy on Hoffman's body - apparently found with a syringe in his arm - has proved inconclusive so far.
