Pirates Of The Caribbean ‘Budget Cut’

As Zoolander and Anchorman sequels are reportedly shelved…

The budget for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie has been cut by Disney bosses.

Reports say that director Rob Marshall and producer Jerry Bruckheimer will have to make do with a $200 million budget rather than the original $300 million set aside for the flick.
The LA Times reports that they’ve been told to make the film “mean and lean and cost effective.”
Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie although sadly for British viewers a scene on the Thames has now apparently been scrapped.
In other movie news it seems other studios are also tightening budgets. Ben Stiller hit Twitter to reveal that sequels to both Anchorman and Zoolander are unlikely to happen.

He wrote: “Ron Burgundy and Derek Zoolander looking to appear in sequels. Both men destitute, without means or intellect to fund their own comebacks.”
