Pitbull Scores First UK No.1 Single As A Lead Artist

As Adele's 21 remains the UK's favourite album for a 16th week...

Pitbullhas scored his first UK No.1 single as a lead artist withLMFAO's former chart topper fell to No.3.

While Pitbull may be celebrating taking the top spot,John Lennonand Michael Jackson, after her track Adele has managed to hold onto the top spot with her record-breaking album, 21, meaning the record has spent a cool sixteen weeks at No.1.
The 23-year old songstress fought off tough competition from Kate Bush's Director's Cut - which had to settle for second place - as Adele's debut LP, 19, stayed at No.3.
The second highest new entry came from Friendly Fires' Pala which entered the countdown at No.6, while Caro Emerald: Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor jumped from No.140 to take tenth place.
