Pitch Perfect 3 Could Be CHRISTMAS-Themed

Good news and bad for fans of the Pitch Perfect series (soooo, just about everyone then), with Universal confirming that the third film has had its release delayed… but may well be Christmas-themed. Which we can surely all agree would be aca-awesome!

The film had originally been scheduled to land in July of next year, but according to the studio, Pitch Perfect 3 will now hit our screens on December 22 2017. That’s a long time for us to wait before catching up with the Bellas…

However, we’re hoping that the new release date indicates a Christmassy theme within the film itself, the plot of which is still firmly under wraps. It might just be a standard scheduling change, but the new tagline “Get Ready To Have A Merry Pitchmas” has got us a bit excited!

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will be back once again as the Bellas’ BFFs in residence, with Hailee Steinfeld and Brittany Snow also back for round three. Elizabeth Banks will be in the director’s chair once more, with Kay Cannon back to write the script, so the whole band are reuniting for this one. Consider us aca-on board…
