PlayStation 4 'Launching Globally This Year'
It's good news for gamers worldwide as the PlayStation 4 is getting set set to launch internationally this year, according to Gamestop.
UK fans can breathe a sigh of relief as [uuid=032ea654-dc6c-4eb8-9a98-49f0d1a88349]previous plans[/uuid], reported in February, for a launch in North America havenow been extended to a worldwide audience.
The retailer's executive vice president of strategy business and brand development, Michael Hogan confirmed the consolerelease plan in a recent conference call with investors.
"We know that Sony will introduce the PlayStation 4 globally in 2013, but we are still waiting to seewhat Microsoft's final plans are."
European retailers are said to predict that the new PS4 will be priced around £300, with [uuid=ea13b52b-59a6-4051-a647-cc8fdd84261a]Sony recently confirming[/uuid]that it will include a headset and a large hard drive, with controllers now able to charge the PS4 whilstthe system is in standby mode.
