Sony's eagerly awaited PlayStation 4 games console will go on sale in the UK on 29 November, it has been revealed.
The electronics giant broke the news at the end of its Gamescom press event - and also revealed that North American customers would get to buy the device two weeks earlier on 15 November.
It will be [uuid=e81b0cc1-7059-42d4-a60e-d1ac28954480]priced at £349 in the UK[/uuid] and 399 euros on the continent. US buyers will only have to pay $399 (just over £250).
Sony also revealed the launch line-up for the console, with a total of 33 games scheduled to be released by the end of 2013.
Highlights include Assassins Creed 4, Call Of Duty: Ghosts and FIFA 14.
Sony revealed that each console will be bundled with The Playroom, a title dedicated to explaining the use of the hardware accessories such as the Dual Shock 4 controller and the PlayStation Camera.
