Sony has released the first pictures of its new PS3 Super Slim - a sleek new version of its successful PS3 games console.
Revealed at a press conference prior to the Tokyo Game Show, it is claimed to be 25 per cent smaller and 20 per cent lighter than the current model.
Two versions of the machine are set to go on sale in the UK, with a 12GB SSD version retailing at £185 and a 500GB model at £241. The former will be available from 28 September, while the latter will go on sale on October 12.
The cheaper console will be the most-affordable PS3 yet, and the more expensive one will come bundled with a copy of Fifa 13.
According to PlayStation Blog, Sony also announced a new range of PS3 Essentials titles, which will retail at £19.99 (or £12 for a download).
