Remember that murder mystery game set in an sleepy English town in which the inhabitants turn into cats at night? Well, good news, everybody - we can finally see the game in action now!
Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, the developer behind cult smash Deadly Premonition, announced his new game a few days back. The Good Life, a seemingly traditional whodunnit murder mystery story based in The Happiest Town in England in which you need to find the killer, focuses on photographer and New Yorker Naomi.
At a PAX West panel, Swery described The Good Life as "Animal Crossing meets Deadly Premonition in an English countryside, plus cats". And while the first teaser we saw intimated the game would be 2D, like Ace Attorney or Professor Layton, turns out it’s a 3D cartoon-style. And it’s legit funny. “No cell service! The Good Life's cast will apparently feature some pretty unique characters, such as “Gay Cat”, "Alcoholic Priest," and "Neurosurgeon Who Hates Kids” to name just three… wtf?!
The Good Life is looking to release on PC and PlayStation 4 in late 2019, with a possible Switch version should it hit its stretch goals on the crowd-funded appeal site, Fig.
