Lucky Pokémon are coming to Pokémon Go!

Nothing's been officially announced - not yet, anyway - but Twitter user @Chrales spotted the new additions over the weekend.

The official Pokémon Go Twitter account then posted this tweet, stating: "here's to your first Pokémon GO trade and the first #PokemonGOfriend who helped make it happen. Trainers, what Pokémon did you receive in your first trade?"

Now look a little closer at the image… those are two Lucky Pokémon there! Even though they haven't said anything yet, those sly dogs at developer Niantic are teasing us!

Without knowing the full details from Niantic we're not too sure what this means for Pokémon Go-ers, but our friends at Eurogamer reckon Lucky Pokémon cost less Stardust, and will be designated a special background. There's also a counter keeping track of the number of times you catch a Lucky Pokémon.

And how do you catch them? Well, we're not sure. But hopefully we'll find out soon!
