Pokémon Go's Summer Tour 2018 Will Bring Pokemon To The Real World With These Exciting Events You Can Join
Soak up the sun and get moving with Pokemon IRL this summer.
A load of new Pokémon Go events have just been announced!
Firstly, developer Niantic has revealed the new locations for the Pokémon Go Summer Tour 2018. Unfortunately, there aren't any UK locations this year, but if you've yet to book your summer get-away, it might be worth thinking of visiting Dortmund in Germany, Chicago in the US, or maybe even Japan! In Germany and Yokosuka, Japan, there'll be Safari Zones, whereas in Chicago, there'll be the Pokémon Go Fest 2018, where you'll be able to catch Pokémon across a 1.8 mile walking course.
Sad there's not an event coming to the UK? Yup, us too. But don't get too disheartened.
"If you’re unable to make it to one of our live events this summer, there are still plenty of amazing ways to participate in the action," says Niantic. "Trainers across the globe will be able to engage in a variety of activities and challenges, so you’ll be able to take part no matter where you are. Announcements on these features will be forthcoming, so watch out for more news! We invite you to join us on an adventure—even from your hometown."
Also, Saturday May 19, 2018, is not just the day of that royal wedding - it's also time for the monthly Pokémon Go Community Day, where we'll be celebrating Fire-type Pokémon, Charmander. There'll also be Community Days on June 16 and July 8, 2018, to mark 'em in your diaries now!
And don't forget that Professor Willow is teaming up with Trainers to help them grab new activities and challenges for bonus in-game rewards, including "unique storylines" that reveal the mystery behind the Mythical Pokémon, Mew.
