The makers of Pokémon Go have an early Christmas present for you - Gen 3 Pokémon are now available in Pokémon Go!

The new additions add an extra 50 Pokémon to your Pokédex, all of which can be caught in the wild, or hatched from eggs, including Aggron, Groudon, Ludicolo, Mudkip, Salamence, Shiftry, Treecko, and Torchic. More Gen 3 Pokémon will pop up "over the next several weeks".

You can also find some new ones like Absol and Mawile in raids.

And that's not the only change coming to the hugely popular mobile augmented-reality game. Developer Niantic has confirmed that dynamic weather (a fancy way of saying weather that changes in-game) will "change the way you and the millions of Trainers around the world discover, catch, and interact with Pokémon". This means that if it's raining, you'll probably find water types, and they'll be harder to catch, or fire types like Charizard will be stronger when the sun's shining. Cool, eh?
