Pokémon Go's New Feature Makes It Easier To Find The Pokémon You Want
Time to fire Pokémon Go up again!
At long last, after plenty of waiting, the Nearby feature has finally be added to the UK version of Pokémon Go.
Pokéfans are now able to find Pokémon with a small level of accuracy - which is a lot more than has been on offer recently. Now, by going to a PokéStop gamers will be shown a list of the Pokémon nearby.
Sure, this feature doesn’t clarify how near any Pokémon is or in which direction, but it’s better than nothing. You’ll still need to put in the leg work to find and catch them but by knowing which Pokémon are near which PokéStops, this could still help you find that certain type you were looking for.
Until now, only San Francisco has had the new Nearby feature up and running. Presumably Niantic, who makes the game, has been working out the bugs so it works better than the first attempt which, well, didn’t.
Also added in the recent update was the new Pokémon, Ditto. This is a shape shifter so can only be found by chance, revealing itself after you’ve caught what you thought was another Pokémon. Once again a bit of social sharing with other Pokémon trainers could help here since a Ditto found as, for example a Rattata, is the same for everyone so once found first it can be shared to help others find it too.
So if you’ve been taking a Poké-break from the game for a while, now might be a good time to dust off that spare battery pack, pull on your bobble hat and go brave the cold to catch ‘em all.
