Pokémon Go Update Changes Power Of Your Pokémon

Here's everything that's changed in today's new update.

Pokémon Go has been updated today and the new version of the game is available now. It brings an upgrade to the Pokémon in the game too with some new Combat Power levels for a selection of the critters.

Pokémon Go creator Niantic explained in a blog post that the new update would bring CP changes to Alakazam, Rhydon and Gengar who will all get increases to their power.

But it’s not all good news as some Pokémon will actually be getting weakened. Which Pokémon are due to suffer in that department, and how many, has not been revealed in the announcement.

This update is just the start. Niantic has said that it will continue to tinker with the CP of Pokémon in future updates. The plan is to make sure battles in Gyms are more balanced so everyone can have a good time.

“These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms”, says Niantic. If that sounds a bit boring, don’t fret other updates are due to make things more exciting.

Niantic will be dishing out double the XP and Stardust from 23 November to 30 November. This is being done as a way to celebrate the game so far and to thank all the fans and gamers that have supported Pokémon Go so far.
