During this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation, The Pokémon Company dropped a buttload of new Pokémon deets, including news of a Pokémon-themed New Nintendo 2DS XL system. Out on November 17, 2017, it has a “three-dimensional replica of the Poké Ball’s button in the center of the system’s body.”

But that’s not all! We also learned that the mysterious Pokémon we’ve seen on the promotional material for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are Necrozma.

“After taking over the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo in Pokémon Ultra Sun or the Legendary Pokémon Lunala in Pokémon Ultra Moon, Necrozma becomes Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma!,” explains Pokémon. “Dusk Mane Necrozma can use Solgaleo’s signature move Sunsteel Strike and Dawn Wings Necrozma can use Lunala’s signature move Moongeist Beam. Alongside these new forms of Necrozma, two new Ultra Beasts, UB Assembly and UB Burst, were also shown. Details about these mysterious beings will be unveiled later.”

If you pre-order now, you’ll get Rockdruff, which can evolve into the Duck Form Lycanroc. What moves it can do depends upon which version of the game you have; in Ultra Sun, it’ll know Fire Fang, but Moon’s version knows Thunder Fang. Both will also know Happy Hour (which means you’ll get twice as much prize money after battles), plus they’ll be holding a Focus Band. AND there’s an exclusive Z-Move, too - Splintered Stormshards.

Finally, Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version will be available via the Nintendo Virtual Console titles on September 22, 2017.
