New Pokémon Game Revealed: Pokémon Stars
Pokémon Sun and Moon is reportedly getting a third version of the game soon. It’s coming to Nintendo’s new Switch console and will be called Pokémon Stars.
Pokémon Stars should arrive on the Nintendo Switch console later next year, according to sources of Eurogamer and Kotaku. Yup, it looks like this game won’t make the console’s launch in early 2017. Nintendo either doesn’t have everything ready yet or wants to give Pokémon Sun and Moon a chance to sell a bunch before releasing another version.
Pokémon Stars is expected to be to Pokémon Sun and Moon what Pokémon Yellow was to Pokémon Red and Blue.
Pokémon Stars should be unique in that it’ll take advantage of the Switch console’s ability to be docked as a full console with a TV at home or work as a tablet-like mobile device when on the move. The sources say this means Pokémon Stars will take advantage of the more powerful hardware - so should look better than ever in higher resolutions and with more capacity for expansion.
Pokémon Sun and Moon is out now for the Nintendo 3DS while the Nintendo Switch console is due out in early 2017 after an announcement event due in January which should reveal more.
