Everything We Know About Season 7B of Pretty Little Liars
We’re in for a wild ride.
With just 10 episodes of Pretty Little Liars left as we know it, we’re not even remotely ready to say goodbye to our favourite show. But as season 7B approaches, it’s clear that us fans are in for a pretty epic final ride - especially if what the cast and crew have said about it is anything to go by.
Here’s everything we know about season 7B of PLL so far…
The last 10 episodes are ‘a love letter to the fans’
Showrunner Marlene King revealed some amazing info during PLL’s recent panel at PaleyFest, this quote included. If these last episodes are a love letter, does that mean all of our ships will be together in the end? Well…
‘All endgames will be the endgames'
Another huge (if not extremely vague) statement from Marlene at PaleyFest. We consider this a promise that Emison will be getting the happily ever after they’ve deserved since Day One. YOU OWE US THIS, MARLENE.
Fans are going to get ALL the answers they’ve ever wanted
Does that include the infamous debate around what Maya knew? Just kidding, we’d prefer to never find out.
‘There’s a big reveal at the end of every episode’
As a PLL fan, we’re always on high alert at the end of any ep, and according to Janel Parrish (aka Mona Vanderwaal), this won’t change in 7B. Get ready for some surprises, y’all.
Season 7B picks up right where we left off at 7A
The first minute of 7B has been released ahead of the season premiere, and it shows the Liars dealing with the immediate aftermath of Spencer getting shot (and Noel getting decapitated by an axe, no biggie). As Spencer is rushed through a hospital, the rest of the girls see Toby also being stretchered in with serious injuries. Dun dun duuuuun.
So, we know that Spencer and Toby are alive as 7B begins… but will it stay that way? And where the hell is Yvonne?
There’s will be another time jump
While we don’t know when exactly this will take place (our money’s on the last ever scene, sob) there will be another time jump on PLL, except this time it will only be a one-year flash forward. Speaking of flash forwards…
Alison’s ominous classroom flash forward WILL be addressed
Remember the end of the season 6A finale when we got our first glimpse of PLL five years forward? Oh come one, this scene:
Well, if you’d totally given up on it ever popping back up in season 7, don’t stress, Marlene’s on it.
There will be a musical number
Nope, not even a joke. Producer Oliver Goldstick says the writers “found a way to include it in the last 10 [episodes]. All of [the cast] have incredible hidden talents, and singing happens to be one of them, and I thought it was a shame that we didn’t utilise that”. We’re concerned and intrigued in equal measures.
Troian Bellisario is directing her very own episode
Our very own Spencer Hastings will be directing episode 15, which is called 'In the Eye Abides the Heart’. Is there anything that girl can’t do?
Even more former cast members are coming back for the last 10 episodes
Extremely excitingly, Wren. Less excitingly, Pastor Ted. Also, in the most random move ever, Holden. Remember Holden? Me neither!
A brand new character is joining the ranks
Besides our old faves coming back for one last hurrah, there’s still been time to introduce a brand new character to the PLL world. Actress Ava Allan will be playing Addison, "a bully who’s attractive, entitled, manipulative and intimidating, and every insecure high school girl’s worst nightmare," according to Deadline. Hmmm, who does that sound like?
While we don’t know much about her storyline, it’s rumoured that Ava’s appearance will help set up a next generation-style PLL spin off. WE DON’T KNOW HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THAT.
According to Marlene, there will be ‘more than one wedding’ in 7B
Fine by us, as long as those weddings include 100% Emison and 0% Ezria. You heard us. Oh, and we know this is a long shot, but how about Mona and Hanna just admit their feelings already and get hitched too.
Alison’s pregnancy will affect everyone
Could that be because Ali’s been impregnated with Emily’s stolen eggs? Probably, yes.
We’ll find out who Charlotte’s father is, and ‘how Spencer came to be’
Ooooh, ominous. It seems that finding out the identity of Charlotte’s dad will be linked to Spencer’s own family tree drama, meaning there’s a good chance Spencer might really be a Drake after all.
We have no idea how Marlene's going to fit all this in in just 10 episodes, but we cannot wait to see it all play out. See you on April 18th, bitches!
