Pretty Little Liars Has Confirmed Our Worst Fears, Will End After Season 7
But it sounds like it’ll be going out with a bang.
In news more unwelcome than a text from AD, it has been confirmed that Pretty Little Liars will be coming to an end when season 7 wraps.
Yep, get ready to say goodbye to Rosewood’s finest as show creator I Marlene King confirmed that the final outing will be airing in April 2017.
Alongside the cast, King revealed via Facebook Live that following the show’s midseason finale, there will only be ten episode left.
She said: "After tomorrow night's summer finale...the next ten episodes of the show really are going to be the last ten episodes of the series. The PLL endgame begins on April 2017.”
However, before you fall into a deep sadness and gorge yourself on pig cupcakes, the final ten episodes sound like they’re going to be nothing short of spectacular.
King explained: “Everyone, from the writers, the cast, and the crew have made sure that these last ten episodes tops the other. We still say, it’s the biggest, most romantic, most twisty series.”
And it sounds like we will be getting answers to burning questions such as ‘who killed Mrs D?’ ‘Who is Uber A?’ and ‘Why the severe lack of Ashley Marin this season?’
Lucy Hale joked: “Now we finally have to answer all your questions because we have to answers your questions!"
Troian Bellisario added: “I think even our most loyal fans who have been with us since the very beginning are going to be very satisfied.”
The season finale was also confirmed to be a two-hour special event, so it’s kind of like we’re getting that movie we’ve been desperate for.
Bring on the end game, bitches.
