She plays one of the most well known LGBT characters on TV right now, starring as Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars.

And now, Shay Mitchell has reflected on her own sexuality in a new interview with Cosmopolitan – and she’s revealed that she doesn’t want to ever define whether she’s straight or not.

The 29-year-old actress has been busy looking ridiculously gorge on the cover of Cosmo’s June edition, where she’s also been getting candid about her future goals and romantic orientation.

She told the mag: "When I started, people were like, 'What are you?' I'm like, right now I'm dating a guy. I don't know what it's going to be in three years.

"You love who you love: Black, white, polka-dot. That’s what my dad always said.

"I’m never going to label myself. I could be 50 and dating a woman and then what? I said I was straight and now I'm not?"

We reckon Emilywould be so pretty proud of that.

Shay also chatted about life post-Pretty Little Liars (OH, DON’T), where she revealed her big plans for the future.

She explained: "I’d rather have a company. I don’t want to be dependent on a call from my agent - taking projects I’m not OK with because I need to. To be honest, winning an Oscar is not one of my goals."

Well, we’d just be happy with Shay sticking with her YouTube channel for now – you know, if we could collab one day.
