On Wednesday (September 16) Pretty Little Liars star Ian Harding turned 29.

But instead of pulling their cash together to buy their friend a new Ezra Fitz-style sweater vest, the rest of the PLL cast decided to show their birthday love for Ian on social media.

In true form of our favourite TV family on earth, some of the messages were sweet and thoughtful like Lucy Hale’s, and others were err… Not QUITE so emotional.

HA. And Ash didn’t stop there, either. She also retweeted this life-affirming GIF of the two, which basically sums up their entire relationship…

While Troian Bellisario didn’t get around to posting her own message to Ian, she DID share this photo on Instagram last week, saying how lucky she and the show is to have ‘such talented gents’ working with them. CUTE.

But even though we didn’t get a chance to send Ian some birthday love on social media, we HAVE made him a little present, in the form of this gallery explaining why we love him. So that’s something, right?
