It Turns Out The Perfectionists Isn't A Pretty Little Liars Spin-Off After All
Even though it's centred around Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderwaal.
Bad news for anyone who hoped we might get more of an insight into the goings-on at Rosewood in the Pretty Little Liars spin-off, because it's now being reported that the show is actually an ~entirely~ seperate thing.
Let's all get checking out an update from MTV News...
The upcoming series is titled The Perfectionists and is once again based on the books written by PLL author Sarah Shepherd.
It was announced yesterday that Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderwaal would be reprising their role in the show, which naturally caused fans to assume that that we'd be jumping straight back into the story.
But slow down a second, because actor Sasha Pieterse has come forward to claim that there's no connection between PLL and the shiny new show, aside from the fact that her character will be in it.
In an interview with E! News, Sasha revealed that we shouldn't expect a bunch of creepy text messages in the upcoming plot. "They're just kind of putting my character into it," she confirmed.
But Sasha did add that the "really interesting plotline" will be focused on its own murdery mystery and will chart an "awesome journey" throughout the length of the series.
Whatever producers have in mind for the show, we're guaranteed to be tuning in to every episode.
