Pro Green Slams BBC's The Voice For Will Young Snub

The Monster MC is outraged The Script's Danny got the job over Will...

Professor Green has slammed the BBC for picking The Script's Danny O'Donoghue over Will Young to be a judge on new talent show, The Voice.

As we previously reported, O'Donoghue was selected to be on the panel instead of Will, joining the likes of Jessie J, Will.I.Am and Tom Jones.

Green - who is thought to have bonded with the Jealousy singer after they both appeared on The Jo Whiley Music Show - has now attacked Beeb bosses for overlooking the Pop Idol champion.

Speaking to The Sun, the Read All About It rapper ranted: "No one knows who Danny is. That's really s*** that they dumped Will for him.

Pro - real name Stephen Manderson added: "He would have been perfect for that job. He really knows what he is talking about when it comes to making music... I liked him."

Young previously addressed his disappointment at not landing the role on Twitter, telling his followers: "The voice came, the voice went. They wanted to go more rock.... Should have dusted off my Leather jacket! Hey ho."

The Voice is due to hit our TV screens in spring.
