Professor Green Never "Cashed In" On Dad's Death

The Read All About It rapper has slammed his stepmother's claims...

Professor Green has publicly addressed claims made by his stepmother that he was "cashing in" on his father's death.
Green - real name Stephen Manderson - has previously slammed his stepmother Jackie's allegations on Twitter, when she accused him of using his dad's suicide to promote himself after writing about his experiences on album track, Goodnight.
The Jungle hitmaker has now told BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ MistaJam: "All I spoke about was how my dad's death affected me. I wasn't trying to cash in on anything,"
"I just thought it was incredibly insensitive. I'd already had two top fives and a number one album. I wasn't trying to cash in on anything."

He continued: "All I said was that when that happened it was make or break for me; It was either going to effect me negatively or it was going to turn my life around. It did the latter. If anything, she should have been happy for me."

Pro then explained why he decided to reference Jackie's comments on his forthcoming single, Read All About It, which is due for release on 23rd October and features the vocal talents of Emeli Sande.
The 28-year stated: "She has no involvement in my life. She never has had. In this record I do address that. I also say a few things I never got to say to my dad."
He added: "On the first album I touched on what happened with my father with Goodnight. It had a massive effect on my life."
