Prometheus Sequel Set For 2016
Michael Fassbender set to return in follow-up to sci-fi epic...
A sequel to Ridley Scott's ambitious sci-fi movie Prometheus is expected to be released in two years.
20th Century Fox has announced that an "untitled Ridley Scott project" is set for release in March 2016 - and The Wrap reports that multiple sources have confirmed it will be a follow-up to Prometheus.
The site reports that an insider has revealed production will get under way in the autumn, once Scott is finished with his biblical epic Exodus.
Michael Fassbender will apparently return as multiple "David" androids.
Veteran scribe Michael Green has been hired to re-write an original draft of the sequel by Jack Paglen - and the movie is predicted to be more like Scott's earlier Alien, which took place in the same universe as Prometheus.
Released in 2012, Prometheus also starred Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Charlize Theron.
