PSY Estimated To Earn Over £5M For 'Gangnam Style'
It has been estimated thatPSY will earn over £5million this year thanks to the success of his smash hit single, Gangnam Style.
According to The AP, the South Korean star is predicted to pocket £5.03 million ($8.1 million) as a direct result of the song's international success.
He is thought to have made around £540,670 ($870,000) from YouTube advertising on the video for the tune, with the singer and his management company also entitled to a cut of income from parodies of the track.
PSY's largest slice of revenue is estimated to be made from his commercial deals, with a Souther Korean securities analyst projecting the figure to be a cool £2.86 million ($4.6 million).
Last month, the promo for Gangnam Style overtook Justin Bieber's Baby as the most-watched video ever on YouTube, with the star also picking up the[uuid=4bb73302-01d2-4b27-bafd-5b496d80a868] coveted Best Video gong[/uuid] at this year's MTV EMA.
