PSY's Gangnam Style Tops UK Singles Chart

While Mumford & Sons go straight in at top of albums chart...

Rapper PSY has become the first ever Korean act to top the Official UK Singles Chart.

The K-pop star's tongue-in-cheek and catchy viral hit Gangnam Style increased its sales by 73 per cent over the course of the week to knock last week's top single The Script's Hall Of Fame (ft. Will.I.Am) down to No 2.

Flo Rida's I Cry was up six at No 3 and Taylor Swift's We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was up two at No 4.

Ne-Yo rounded out the top five with Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself).

Meanwhile over in the Official UK Albums Chart there was a new entry at No 1 in the form of Mumford & Sons' second LP Babel.

Green Day also had a new entry at No 2 with Uno, while Pink's The Truth About Love had slipped one place to No 3 and The Killers' Battle Born was at No 4.

Britain's Got Talent runners-up Jonathan and Charlotte had a new entry with their debut album Together at No 5.
