An imprisoned member of Pussy Riot has announced she will go on hunger strike following claims of being treated like a slave.

The charges were made after the group stormed an Orthodox church in Moscow to perform, protest song Punk Prayer and was heavily reported by the music press.

Earlier this year charity, Amnesty International wrote a letter to the two imprisoned members as the year anniversary of their sentencing (August 2012) approached, telling the two that “many artists voiced their concern” over the charges.
