Q Awards 2012 Nominations Announced

Florence, Blur & more have all recieved nods! See the full list here...

The nominations for this year's Q Awards have been announced, with Florence + the Machine star Florence Welch and Blur among those who lead the list with two nods.

Noel Gallagher and The Stone Roses also have two nominations each, with the likes of Adele, Nicki Minaj and Lady GaGa also in with a chance of winning a gong.

Speaking of this year's awards, Q editor Andrew Harrison said: "It's been the most incredible year for British music.

"Our bands and our anthems transformed the Olympics into the greatest music event on Earth."

He added: "And amazing comeback shows from Blur and The Stone Roses showed the enduring appeal of our greatest musicians.

"All the nominees for this year's Q Awards helped make 2012 an absolutely unforgettable year."

Al Murray will host the star-studded bash, with the ceremony set to take place in London on 22nd October.
