Radiohead have announced details of the physical release of their album In Rainbows and the first single from it.

The Oxford band are newly signed to XL Recordings who will release the LP on December 31. A single Jigsaw Falling Into Place is coming out on January 14 2008.

In Rainbows is already available for download from the groups official website with fans able to pay whatever amount they decide for it.

Recent reports had said most people paid nothing for the album though the band have today moved to quash the figures.

A statement said: The groups representatives would like to remind people that, as the album could only be downloaded from the bands website, it is impossible for outside organisations to have accurate figures on sales.
