United States President George W Bushs daughter has attended a Radiohead gig in New York, much to the bemusement of singer Thom Yorke.
The unnamed president offspring caused a bit of a commotion at the show after her bouncers reportedly man-handled people out of the way in the crowd, to which Yorke alludes in a posting on the Radiohead website.
"We were playing 'The Tourist' at the end of the show, writes Yorke and yes we did wonder what the shuffling manhandling fighting was in the distance of the audience.
"Turns out it was her six bodyguards clearing the way for the first daughter's exit. And some poor soul objected at being manhandled by the secret service. I think I would have too."
He continued: "In fact, if I had known all this my objections would have been more forthright and extensive if you know what I mean. Which is perhaps why our lot chose not to tell me who was in the building before we went on. Probably a good idea."
