Johnny Borrell: "I'm Not Arrogant"
Gonzo On Tour: The Razorlight front man hits back at the critics...
Razorlight front man Johnny Borrell, last week in the press after allegedly thumping band mate Andy after an awards show, has hit out at critics who accuse him of being up himself.
Just before they played their stonking Gonzo On Tour gig in London on Sunday night (October 15) Johnny and Andy dropped by the MTV studios for a chat with Gonzo host Zane Lowe.
"If being too ambitious is the only problem people have with the band then I guess I'm doing my job very well," Johnny said.
And looking as though they'd put any rifts behind them the boys went on to say how excited they are about touring the new album.
"I think we've made a perfect record. Now we just want to go out and play it to everyone. If people think I'm arrogant, f*ck 'em," Johnny commented.
The skinny jeans-loving singer did concede he's become more wary of the press these days however.
"I used to say whatever was on my mind. I can't do that anymore," he commented, before adding, "They've got Lily Allen to do it now."
Chipping in, Andy joked, "It's good that the focus is now more on the music than his gob!"
Ah, good to see all is well again in Camp 'Light!
