Here’s When You’ll Finally Be Able To Play Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily the most hyped game of the year. And now, its release date has been officially been confirmed.

Rockstar Games have confirmed that the game will launch on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on October 26, 2018.

This is a delay from its original release date – it was due to come out in Spring 2018, and before that was slated to hit consoles in ‘fall 2017’.  The studio have revealed that the delay has been to give them extra time to perfect the much-anticipated follow up to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar confirmed the new date on their blog, saying, “We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26 2018”

"We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish."

"We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks."

And the good news? Rockstar revealed a stunning new set of screenshots to tide us over a little longer – and DAMN THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL. We can’t wait to get stuck in to the western action sequel.
