Reese Witherspoon has been hit by a car while out jogging in California.
According to The Sun, the Water For Elephantsactress was running in Santa Monica at 11am yesterday morning when she was struck by an elderly driver.
An 84-year old woman was apparently behind the wheel of the vehicle that hit Reese, and was said to be travelling at 20 miles per hour when her car made contact with Witherspoon.
Local police have stated that the Oscar winner was then taken to a nearby hospital, where she received treatment for "minor injuries."
A representative for the Legally Blonde star has since said in a statement: "The actress was not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home."
