Reese Witherspoon has revealed that she was left to figure out her own props and trekking gear for her new movie, Wild.

The actress plays Cheryl Strayed in the film, who embarks on a 1,100 mile solo hike and praised director, Jean-Marc Vallee for the film’s authenticity.

Speaking on the carpet the Hollywood beau told reporters:"Well that was one of the challenging things was the director wanted to make sure I didn't know how to work any of the props before I actually got on set."
