Emily VanCamp On 'Revenge' Season 4 Twist: "I Was Skeptical At First"
Actress reveals she's finding the role of Emily Thorne "very interesting to play"...
Viewers were left stunned at the end of the third season her dad David Clarke appeared to still be alive.
The 28-year old, who plays Emily Thorne in the hit TV series, told Associated Press: "I was skeptical at first but now that I see how, where they are going with this, it is very, very interesting.
"You know James is bringing phenomenal performances into the show, a new dynamic, you are not quite sure what he is, who he is, what his agenda is, where he has been, it's a bit kind of like Brody in Homeland - you're just very, he's clearly, something is clearly broken inside of him and you don't know what or where it is coming from. And Victoria, as I said, kind of gets in there and stars doing all her manipulations and things."Speaking of how her character deals with his return, Emily explained: "That is a huge challenge for her, I think one of her greatest fears is that her father is going to disapprove of what she's done and I think that is something that Victoria is really trying to drill into her but I think at the end of the day, absolutely its not going to be an easy road, but she's done it all for him and her love of him and I think on different levels they are both going to feel disappointed in each other.
"Everything aside she will be disappointed on certain levels and he will be disappointed on certain levels but at the end of the day they are father and daughter and there is a connection that is there regardless of all of that."
She added: "Even when he doesn't quite know who she is and they are going through that process, there is always that thing that draws you to somebody when you've got that deep of a connection. It's been very interesting to play."
Revenge is set to return to UK TV screens in January 2015.
