It has been reported that former The Only Way Is Essex star Ricky Rayment was arrested on suspicion of ABH after a nightclub appearance in Brighton on Saturday (August 29).

This news follows the speculation about his split from Geordie Shore star, Marnie Simpson earlier this week.

The Essex lad was reportedly attacked by five men before he was arrested amidst the drama.

Despite the arrest, the 25-year-old was only momentarily detained by the police and releasedas they soon discovered he was the innocent party in the scuffle.

A Sussex Police spokesperson told the MailOnline: "A 25-year-old man from Chigwell in Essex was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm following a fight with another man."

They continued: "As the situation calmed, the victim of the assault declined to provide a statement and the man was de-arrested. He left the area immediately."

Well, we hope next week's a better one for Marnie's beau, with all thosesplit rumours and now this, it hasn't been the best week for TOWIE lad.
