6 Celebrity BFFs Who Went To War With Each Other

Paparazzi videos last forever, Lindsay...

There's nothing better than seeing a good 'ole celebrity friendship.

Whether it's two rap legends or TV show co-stars, it's always lovely to see two faves in the limelight have fun together, taking each other's Instagram pics, and just holding one another down in the dog-eats-dog world of fame.

However, in that veryfickle world of fame, friendships can come and go easily due to shady captions, media rumours, and misinterpreted quotes in interviews. Even the ones we thought were unbreakable.

Let's revisit the drama...

Rihanna and Katy Perry

Rihanna and Katy Perry were once the ultimate pop queen duo. The twosuperstars would sit together at the VMAs, cheer each other on when performing at the GRAMMYs, visit each other on tour, party together andsupport each other publicly, however things seem to have maybe turned sour in recent years.

Theirpublic friendship has been very distant for a few years now, so fans assumed they were just more private as they got older. However, after Katy said her dream American Idol judge would be Rihanna, the Fenty Beauty mogul shaded the show by saying: "Oh, I don't know. Depends how bored I am." Ouch! Not very supportive, Rih...

Kanye and Jay - a.k.a The Throne.

Jay-Z and Kanye West were on top of the world together back in 2011 when they dropped a joint album'Watch the Throne'and went on to tour the world together the following year. Their other halves were spotted hanging together at the concerts, and everything seemed to be going well. However, things went quiet after the tour wrapped and by the time Kimye tied the knot in 2014, something had happened to make Bey-Z not attend the wedding.

Their falling out has been back and forth ever since butJay-Z discussed their friendship last year, confirming thatKanye will 'always be his brother'.

Ah, who could forget the iconic friendship of the 2000s.

While Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were The Simple Life and had a friendship so turbulent a book could be written about it, Paris' friendship with Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan really made news around the world. Two of the most famous young twenty-somethings in the world were BFFs, partying it up every night together and doing things we'll never know.

Boys drifted them apart, as did messy nights out and incoherent interviews, like when Lindsay called Paris the C-word to paparazzi only to immediately retract it. The surrealmoment will forever be an iconic moment in pop culture and marked the end of their friendship, as they haven't been together in many, many years now.

Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian

Okay, so they may not be BFFs by random selection 'but', siblings Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West have always been real close as sisters. They've had their fair share of family dramas and petty fallouts - who hasn't? - but 2018 has really tested their bond, as we've watched their relationship deteriorate on their show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kim has made many cruel remarks about her sister's appearance, calling her the "least interesting to look at" and constantly tearing apart everything she says or wears, much to Kourtney's shock. Meanwhile, Kourtney slammed her younger sis as "bitchy and entitled" in a recent episode. Ouch! We're sure these two will be fine in the end but things are'seeeeriously'tense atm.

Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag

Ugh, the ultimate duo.

The Hills gave us so much - Justin Bobby, Whitney falling down the steps on Good Morning America in a couture gown - but its ultimate gift was the friendship between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag. The world watched as thesetwo young party girls moved in together, explored LA together, turned 21 together and so much more, but their BFF-ness didn't last because of one man in particular: Spencer Pratt.

Spencer, Heidi's now-husband, came into the picture and turned their friendship upside down, mainly because he has reportedly spread a rumour about LC having a sex tape, which didn't help her budding reputation as Hollywood's new It Girl. Whoops.

Anyway, things were rocky for a while then Lauren gave Heidi an ultimatum (!) to choose (!!) between her best friend and boyfriend, and we think'everybody'was mad when she chose her boyfriend but now she's been married for almost a decade and has a baby with him... soooo, Heidi won. And LC won. Now reunite, please, queens!

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift

Two words: Left. Shark.

Now we'all'know this one. While not necessarily 'besties', Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were definitely more than accquaintances in the music industry prior to their well-publicised falling out that almost sabotaged both of their careers (slightly dramatic? Ask Stan Twitter about it!).

Long story cut short: a dancer -left shark, to be specific -is hired for one pop star's tour then when that tour ends they start dancing for another pop star's tour to keep working.

What'really'happened? That poor dancer - who was just getting their bag at the end of the day, kudos- was used to start a war as Taylor accused an anonymous pop star of 'stealing' her dancer. Her cryptic codes didn't last long as people figured out she was talking about Katy, then she made a whole'song'about it ('cuz baby now we got baaaad blood, etc) and trash-talked Katy at almost every opportunity.

Katy described Taylor as "Regina George in sheepclothing" (still amazing) and this whole thing went on for a long ass time as Katy low-key responded with 'Swish Swish' but ultimately she spoke out to address things and let Taylor know that she'didn't'have any bad blood. Lols. How are they know? Not exactly best pals, let's just say that.
