Rihanna Confirms New Single 'Diamonds'
Rihanna has confirmed that her next single will be called Diamonds and will get its first airing on US radio on Wednesday 26 September.
According to Digital Spy, the We Found Love singer revealed the news during an interview at iHeartRadio's annual music festival in Las Vegas yesterday.
Speaking about the new track - which she says is "happy and hippy" - RiRi said: "It's laid-back but it's hopeful. It's a record that... gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it.
"The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and... a little different to what people would expect, I think."
She added: "I'm excited about that. I'm excited to surprise them sonically."
The pop superstar also revealed that the secret to her success is simply that she "loves great music".
Rihanna explained: "When I make an album, that's what I think about; what I want to hear, what I love to hear.
"I think that's what my fans love... I always want to make it interesting for them. I always want to make it a little fresh and a little ahead of what's on the radio."
RiRi's [uuid=9da5a495-3c16-46be-8bca-fbd7ec05df3e]seventh studio album[/uuid] is expected to go on sale in November.
