Rihanna First Choice For Josephine Baker Biopic

Producer W. Lance Reynolds has set his sights on the Barbadian babe...

Rihanna is reportedly first in line to play jazz singer Josephine Baker in a new biopic.
According to Vibe magazine, the Bajan babe is being backed by production company Noosa Films and producer W. Lance Reynolds for the movie - which will be based on the life of Baker, who was also an actress.

Reynolds is quoted by the publication as saying: "Rihanna is one of the most talented performers of this millennium.
"With her unique acting and performing abilities, I have no doubt she will bring Josephine back to life on the big screen."

The Diamonds singer previously made her screen debut as Petty Officer Cora 'Weps' Raikes in 2012 flick, Battleship.

The role of Baker - who died in 1975 - will be a big part for RiRi, as she was known for her role in the Civil Rights Movement as well as starring in films such as Zouzou.

In other RiRi news, the star has showed off a new denim outfit from her latest River Island collection - posing without her bra.
