Rihanna 'On The Mend' After Tweeting IV Picture
Rihanna sparked fears for her health yesterday (9th May) after tweeting a picture of herself hooked up to an IV drip, with reports suggesting she was suffering from a flu-related illness.
Ahead of her appearance at the Met Ball in New York over the weekend, the Where Have You Been singer issued a colourful complaint about feeling under the weather, with RiRi tweeting: "Ph*ck bein sick!"
The 24-year old then added: "Seriously, I'm sick! Don't wake me up for dumb s**t like that."
She then surprised her 18 million followers with the photographic proof of her unidentified illness Tuesday (8th May) with a Twit pic that showed RiRi in bed with an IV in her arm.
According to People, a source close to Rihanna said the Bajan babe is on the mend and was not suffering from anything serious, stating: "She had a fever and flu since last week and needed an IV, but is fine now."
The Sun has since reported that a separate source has suggested that RiRi also received treatment at a private medical centre for “exhaustion and dehydration."
Due to her health woes, Rihanna is thought to have also cancelled rehearsals for hit US TV show Saturday Night Live, blaming illness and tiredness for the no-show.
