Rihanna Says Britney Spears Duet Is "Amazing"
The Bajan star claims she is happy that Brit wanted to work with her...
As we reported yesterday, RiRi and Spears have recorded a remix of the Barbadian beauty's hit song, S&M, with Rihanna now stating that she was only keen to remix the tune if the new version bettered the original Loud album track.
Speaking about duetting with Britney, the 23-year old told Z100's Morning Show: "At first, we didn't know what the song was going to do because of the lyrics, but it became really big on radio and it's number one at Pop this week. In order to do a remix, it had to be major,"
She explained:"I asked my fans last week who they wanted me to collaborate with, and Britney was one of the most popular names."
Rihanna then claimed she was surprised the Hold It Against Me hitmaker decided to appear on her S&M remix, because Britney is notoriously known for not doing features for other artists.
The Only Girl (In The World) singer claimed: "It's very strange - Britney never does features. It was really amazing that she really wanted to be part of this song,"
"She really liked the song to begin with, but it was a different story when she had to sing it, and she really wanted to be a part of it."
RiRi added: "It made it really special, because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore. Just call us 'RNB'."
When asked whether there would be a video for the remix, RiRi stated: "I hope so, I want to spank Britney Spears!"
