Rihanna Shows Off Designer Gift Haul On Instagram
Santa baby has slipped a lot of something under the tree for Rihanna this year, judging from her Instagram account.
The Monster singer showed off a monster haul of designer goodies on the social networking site, sent to her by various brands as Christmas presents, where she also added her thanks.
Gifts included bikinis, handbags, sunglasses and shoes from fashion houses Prada, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen. Each arrived with handwritten notes, most of them from the designers themselves.
A picture of a pink Stella McCartney clutch bag and note from Stella – daughter of Beatles singer Paul McCartney – was accompanied by the caption “Wifey” while next to a picture of her presents from Prada, Rihanna wrote: “Christmas!! Thank you Miuccia and your wonderful team.”
Rihanna also had reason to celebrate today after it was announced she had broken the record for most number ones on the Billboard chart. Thanks to Eminem’s number one single Monster – on which she features - Rihanna has edged past Katy Perry with eleven number one songs, while Katy falls behind with ten.
And no doubt she’ll hold onto her record-breaking position if rumours of a collaboration with Shakira are true. Rapper Pitbull apparently spilled the beans during an interview on Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.
Discussing his collaboration with Ke$ha on new single Timber, he said: “That was an ironic situation there. The person we were looking at first to work on that record was Rihanna. There was something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn't able to be on the record.”
