Three Teens Arrested Robbing Celeb Homes Including Rihanna
The Bling Ring 2.0.
It looks like the Bling Ring is back as four people have been arrested after allegedly burgling the homes of various celebrities, including Rihanna, in Los Angeles.
It has been reported that the Los Angeles Police Department have taken three teenage boys and one of their mothers into custody on suspicion of robbing the homes of Christina Milian, her boyfriend French singer Matthieu “M. Pokora” Tota, and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, as well as Rihanna.
On the 27th September, the three teenage suspects, Jshawne Lamon Daniels, 19, Tyress Lavon Williams, 19, and Damaji Corey Hall, 18, were reportedly pulled over by the police.
They were under suspicion of driving away from the Los Angeles Rams receiver Robert Woods home in Woodland Hills after ransacking it.
People reports that the police allegedly found belongings of Woods stashed in the car, which prompted the LAPD to later detain the teens.
The LAPD then issued a search warrant in order to get inside the boy’s homes, and in one home the police found $50,000 worth of cash, watches, jewellery, expensive handbags and a stolen vehicle. Yep, these teens managed to steal a whole damn vehicle without being noticed.
Apparently, a list of the groups planned celebrity targets was also found, which included the likes of Viola Davis, LeBron james, and Matt Damon.
The LAPD revealed during a press conference that just like the Bling Ring, the suspects planned their crimes by following their targets’ social media, tour schedule and news sources. As they planned to gain entry to their homes when they were out of town.
"The burglars believed no one would be home, and the homes would contain sought-after valuables that they might be interested in," said Lillian L. Carranza, commanding officer of the LAPD's commercial crimes division, according to People.
Even though the investigation is still ongoing, it’s been reported that the three teens have been charged on the charge of burglary.
The mother of Damaji, Ashle Jennifer Hall, has also been charged but with grand theft in association with stolen property and a firearm found in a stolen vehicle.
Alexis Neiers could never.
