A new short for upcoming animated movie Home has been released, giving fans a first look at the alien race in the film starring Rihanna.

In Home, RiRi voices the lead role of Tip, who battles to survive on her own after an alien race invades Earth and abducts her mother.

Tip soon finds herself on a crazy journey with one of the aliens, who calls himself Oh, as they face a race against time to find Tip’s mother and save the world from an even more evil race of aliens.

The film will be Rihanna’s first big screen appearance since Battleship, bar a brief cameo in This Is The End.

[related]As well as starring the film, the singer is apparently recording a concept album based on the film.

Comedian Steve Martin also lends his voice to the flick alongside Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons, who will play Oh.

In the books on which the film is based, Parsons' character is actually called J-Lo and, showing her sense of humour, mother of twins Jennifer Lopez will also make an appearance in the film.
