Rita Ora: Calvin Harris Blocked My TCAs Performance

Pop star reveals apparent bad feeling following couple's split, though Calvin says he had 'good reason' to say no...

Rita Ora has revealed that her ex-BF Calvin Harris blocked her recent planned appearance on the Teen Choice Awards in the US.

The pop star told US broadcaster Ryan Seacrest that Calvin had refused permission for her to perform her hit I Will Never Let You Down.

"I was supposed to perform, (but he) wrote and produced the song... he owns the rights to it... so has to approve anything TV-wise... He didn't approve the Teen Choice Awards."

And when pressed as to whether there was any bitterness after their break-up, Rita appeared to point the finger at her ex.

"You should ask him," she replied. "You write a song with somebody and I guess there's some stuff that comes with it."

She said she was angry for her fans rather than for any damage to her career.

"The show was going to be awesome and... I put my own money into the performance, like I always do."

UPDATE: Calvin has since responded to Rita's claims, saying on Twitter:"You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life."

"But just know I had damn good reason."News of the duo's split broke back in June, when it was claimed that things were amicable.
