They’ve been broken up for over a year, but it seems people are still asking Rita Ora about her past relationship with Calvin Harris.

Now that Calvin is dating fellow pop star Taylor Swift, obviously some people are genuinely interested to hear what Rita thinks about it all – but mainly they just want to see yet another celebrity girl feud kick off.

Chatting to the Evening Standard (about a whole range of topics and not just Calvin), Rita revealed that she wasn’t too fussed about him getting together with Taylor, explaining: “I'm a girl's girl. I'm not going to have that first instinct of jealousy vibe."

Being pushed for more info, Rita kept things classy about her ex, adding: “It was a period of my life that I will value forever. But some things are just not meant to be.

“I don't want to make this just about him. Musically, it was an amazing experiment and let's just leave it at that."

But still, even though Rita barely gave one sentence about Talvin, a million headlines have popped up (yes, including ours) focusing on that one bit, and making it sound as if Rita actually IS a bit jealous, in the cattiest way possible.

Well, if we’re going to be talking jealousy, shouldn’t someone have asked Calvin how he felt about Rita getting together with Ricky Hil? You know, since she started dating him way before he went public with his next girlfriend Aarika Wolf?

No, because he’s a guy and guys don’t get jealous. Being bitter and bitchy about a new relationship is reserved solely for women. Nice.

Hopefully, now that Rita has become a judge on The X Factor, stupid questions about her ‘feelings’ towards Calvin and Taylor will disappear, along with the media’s pure thirst for a feud between the two stars.

But realistically, Rita will eventually be misquoted saying something/ANYTHING about Taylor, and the world will be given an alternative to the Swift and Katy Perry fight of nothingness.

Seriously, how about everyone stops pitting every female celebrity against each other and starts embracing the idea that girls DO get along. Because, you know what, it does happen occasionally.
